District 88 sets levy (The New Ulm Journal)

NEW ULM - The District 88 Board of Education approved the maximum levy for taxes payable in 2009 - approximately $4.63 million. The proposed levy is $258,403, or 5.28 percent, lower than the final levy for taxes payable in 2008. The decrease is mostly due to levying less for health and safety projects, after the district completed several major ones in the recent past.
